About Me

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oregon in John Toner's group working on the continuum behavior of active matter. In the past I have worked on problems in rare events methods, geophysics, and granular physics as a postdoc at University of Chicago in Wendy Zhang and Aaron Dinner's groups, and on turbulence, evolution, superconductors, and sociological modelling at the University of Illinois with my PhD advisor Nigel Goldenfeld.

I have a wide variety of interests, from statistical mechanics, evolution, pattern formation, and high-performance simulation methodologies to scientific visualization and game design. Over the last five months I've started an independent game studio on the side, which has produced and published one commercial game and has another on the way.
